About Tishanna Hollins

Dr. Hollins is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with adults with eating disorders, depression, trauma, and anxiety disorders. She is committed to using evidence-based treatments with her clients and improving the mental health of racial and gender minorities.


Dr. Hollins has extensive experience working with adults with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions in various levels of care including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs. Throughout her training across a variety of settings, she developed expertise in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with adults in individual and group psychotherapy. She also uses the following treatment modalities: Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and exposure-based interventions.

 Dr. Hollins uses a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach. She works with clients to establish a safe space to work toward their goals and to improve their quality of life. She balances pushing clients to change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors while also providing validation and compassion. She routinely helps clients to learn and utilize coping skills to manage life’s stressors and to live more in line with their core values.

Dr. Hollins received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University as well as a M.A. in Psychology from American University. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Emily Program focusing on treating individuals with eating disorders, body image concerns, and related conditions.
