PROS & CONS
Pros
Increased convenience. There is no need to beat traffic and pay for parking and/or a metro ride which saves time and money!
Flexibility in scheduling. You’re not confined to only after work hours as long as you can find a comfortable, private place to hold the teletherapy session. This may also help to decrease missed visits because it can be easier for the clinician to reschedule appointments.
Be in the comfort of your own home. Doing teletherapy from your home allows you to be a familiar, safe environment.
Cons
The cons of teletherapy can be that the connection might be poor from time to time if you don’t have great internet signal strength. You’ll also need to ensure you have privacy within your home to conduct the teletherapy sessions.
Session Fees
Our standard session rates apply. We don’t accept insurance, but you can submit your receipts to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. We have partnered with Reimbursify for you to do this easily and for free. Your insurance company apply your session fees towards your out-of-network deductible and once that deductible is met, they’ll send you a check directly for whatever amount they agree to pay. Most, but not all, insurance companies cover telehealth. So if you would like, please confirm that your insurance company covers telehealth prior to setting up your first appointment.
