Dr. Bateman provides treatment in the office as well as in other environments (e.g., home visit, off site) when in-vivo practice of skills is beneficial for change and success.
Dr. Bateman took a particular interest in “Positive Psychology” during her graduate training and maintains an approach in treatment that is focused on recognizing and building upon strengths and utilizing positive reinforcement for engagement in treatment and accomplishment of goals. Dr. Bateman understands that therapy, especially ERP, is effective yet arduous, and she works with clients to build and maintain motivation to persevere with the challenging task of overcoming anxiety.
