Dr. Rosen is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, self-injury, and chronic suicidality in adolescents and young adults. She has provided individual, family based, and group therapy in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, outpatient treatment centers, schools and private practices. Dr. Rosen has specific training and experiencing utilizing evidence-based therapuetic strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Dr. Rosen earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of America and completed her predoctoral internship at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Dr. Rosen was intensely trained in DBT as a therapist on the Comprehensive Adolescent DBT Team and received extensive training in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. Dr. Rosen is a certified therapist in Family Based Treatment (FBT) for anorexia nervosa.
Dr. Rosen works flexibly within an evidence-based framework of cognitive-behavioral principles to craft interventions addressing the individual psychological needs of clients and their families. She employs a collaborative and strength-based approach that helps to nurture a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship.
