About Brittany Kern
Brittany is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian specializing in the treatment of eating disorders with experience in both the outpatient and inpatient level of treatment. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, she continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro securing a Master’s degree in Nutrition Science. After completing her dietetic internship, she began working for a partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorder program outside of Memphis, Tennessee. Her experience there lead her to working as the Inpatient Eating Disorder Dietitian for University of North Carolina Health Care on their Center for Excellence Eating Disorder Unit. She gained value exposure in implementing the principles of family based therapy (FBT) and continues to utilizes FBT as a treatment approach.

Brittany applies a scientific evidence based approach to nutrition care. Rejecting the diet mentality, she supports an intuitive eating and Health at Every Size® treatment philosophy. When Brittany is not working she enjoys time with her dog, Barley.
