Dr. Natalie Chaykin Pierce is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides evidence-based, compassionate treatment to adults. She practices from a health psychology lens, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive Psychology. Dr. Pierce is passionate about helping clients understand their unique mind-body connection. Using a non-judgmental and collaborative approach, her calming style helps clients feel empowered to break unhelpful patterns, navigate life transitions, and work toward a deeply fulfilling life.
Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine
Dr. Pierce is highly specialized in the complex interplay between physical and mental well-being. She is Board Certified in Biofeedback and provides expert psychoeducation on stress physiology—helping clients understand exactly how stress and emotions interact with the body. She helps clients manage conditions such as:
- Chronic Pain & Chronic Illness: Developing effective coping strategies to transition after an injury or diagnosis, manage persistent pain, and reduce illness-related stress.
- Insomnia and Sleep Disorders: Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to help clients improve sleep patterns and restore rest naturally.
- Biofeedback & Relaxation: Weaving specific mindfulness and self-regulation techniques into treatment to manage physical and emotional well-being.
OCD, BFRBs & Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Dr. Pierce provides gold-standard, specialized treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and related conditions, helping clients quiet intrusive thoughts and break the cycle of compulsions.
- OCD & BDD Treatment: She utilizes Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) to effectively treat OCD as well as Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), helping clients unhook from the harsh inner critic and the exhaustion of the “what-ifs.”
- Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs): She offers targeted behavioral interventions for individuals struggling with skin-picking (excoriation) and hair-pulling (trichotillomania) to help break neurological loops and build new coping responses.
Eating Disorders & Body Image Concerns
With extensive experience in specialized eating disorder settings, Dr. Pierce treats the full spectrum of disordered eating, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Orthorexia. She provides a safe, supportive space to heal your relationship with food while deeply addressing severe body image dissatisfaction, helping clients shift toward self-compassion and body neutrality.
Life Transitions & Professional Coaching
In addition to her clinical psychology doctorate, Dr. Pierce holds an MBA. This unique background allows her to take an effective coaching approach with clients navigating complex academic or professional careers. She expertly helps high-achieving clients manage workplace stress, navigate work-life balance, build executive functioning skills, and move forward when they are feeling “stuck” in their personal or professional lives.
