Dr. Laura Loyola is a licensed clinical psychologist who has provided mental health services to a variety of populations including: active duty military personnel, veterans, couples, and individuals of underserved communities. Dr. Loyola received much of her training at medical centers that emphasized the importance of evidence based psychotherapies. At the same time, she recognizes that there is no one size fits all approach, and prioritizes individually tailoring therapeutic services to each client’s uniqueness.
Dr. Loyola’s approach incorporates principles and tools from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Because of her training in couples therapy, Dr. Loyola also values the importance of viewing clients through a systemic lens. Through the use of her warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach, Dr. Loyola is able to join clients on a therapeutic journey that leads to healing, introspective awareness and insight that extends beyond the self and to important relational dynamics.
