Dr. Haseltine is a post-doctoral resident in psychology and Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at George Washington University, and her PhD in Counseling Psychology at Fordham University. She completed her predoctoral internship at The Catholic University of America’s Counseling Center.
Dr. Haseltine has worked with adults and adolescents in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health centers, inpatient and partially hospitalized levels of care, private practice, and more recently at college counseling centers and the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center. She has experience treating anxiety and mood disorders, traumatic stress and adjustment disorders, insomnia, and eating disorders. She also has experience with and a special interest in supporting other healthcare workers, as well as clients who are managing life transitions, chronic pain and illness, and/or challenging family dynamics.
Dr. Haseltine utilizes an integrative approach to therapy that incorporates strengths-based, interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral and ACT-based interventions. Dr. Haseltine strives to create a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment that is goal-directed, and promotes personal exploration, self-compassion and healthy coping skills.
