LIZ TOLAND, RD

Liz comes to Mind Body Health with years of experience working at Reflections Eating Disorder Treatment Center, an inpatient and partial hospitalization program. Liz served as the Clinical Nutrition Manager throughout Dominion Hospital and at Reflections providing nutrition assessments, counseling, meal planning, intervention, and follow up for children, adolescents, and adults. At Dominion & Reflections, Liz developed and led nutrition group therapy classes.
Prior to that, Liz worked as a dietitian at MedStar Washington Hospital Center where she provided nutrition assessment, counseling, intervention, and follow up to medical and surgical patients. She led nutrition education classes for cardiac surgery patients and provided one on one nutrition counseling for cardiac patients monthly.
Liz earned her BS in Psychology & BS in Science, Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She completed her dietetic internship at VCU Health Systems. Currently Liz is completing her Master’s of Science with a concentration in counseling through Kansas University Medical Center.
Liz is a member of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and was an assistant coach for Girls on the Run.
